The Westwood Elementary Foundation puts on this event to raise money for programs that the school struggles to fund. Based upon iReady Assessment, 80% of all students in grades two through five will meet their Typical Growth Target or achieve grade level standard as reflected on this assessment. The other 20% of students will need that extra help to reach their Typical Growth Target. This is where trained, certificated IMPACT teachers will support targeted learners on specific literacy skills approximately 4 days per week. The highest priority for additional funding will support a part-time Reading Impact teacher supporting students with identified learning gaps.

Our main objective for this year is to fund the IMPACT reading program, which is no longer being funded by the state.
